Siec News: "After President Bush was embarrassed with the question of Polish visas, he tried to put the blame on Congress for the unfair treatment of Poland by his Department of Homeland Security. Shame on him.
In America, this shifting of blame is called 'passing the buck.'
Bush's Republican Party controls both houses of Congress. Most of the time, they follow the President's lead. When he demanded that Congress cut taxes or approve his war on Iraq, the Senate and House of Representatives went along with him.
Former President Harry S. Truman had a plaque on his desk that read, 'The buck stops here.' Truman took responsibilities for his own decisions. And Bush must too.
If Bush wants to redeem himself to Poles, he must stop passing the buck and change America's unfair visa policy toward Polish citizens. "
